Good evening! Tuffy's stomach is doing much better on the Wellness Large breed kibble I have him on but my only concern is that it's lower calories than his last kibble. His current food is only 366 calories per cup and he gets about 3-1/2 cups a day which equals only 1281 calories a day (fat is 12% and Protein is 26%). I do add in a few biscuits for treats but no other goodies and I'm being careful not to overfeed because that leads to loose stools. So my question is whether this is sufficient calories for a 5 month old bulldog pup?

Thanks everyone!
Glad you like Tuffy's new signature picture! I was bored with the last one! And I appreciate the input, Cathy. I definitely can't feed his ribs so I think we're okay. I'm trying to aim for 4 cups a day but I can't give 2-3 big feedings because of his tummy issues. The most he can digest at a time is 3/4 a cup per feeding.

Every pup is different
My 4.5 month old pups eat about 4 cups of 348 kcal/cup food per day, and they are maintaining the weight I like at this point, but their activity level is high.
Your pup is in a phase where the rapid growth is beginning to slow a bit, so the main thing is to be sure you cannot see any bone through the ribs (if you can see the rib, he's too thin), but can feel the ribs with light pressure (if you can't feel the ribs, he has too much fat.)
He's quite a cutie! Have fun with your baby.
