Hi everybody - I've been a lurker for a long time and just set up a network54 account, but I've got a question. Before I start, below I do have now and then pics of my baby - that's my favorite part of this board!
My 2 year old bulldog (Cleo, below) is going to go through a big change. I just joined the Army and once I get through training I'm going to bring her on base with me. My question is, does anyone on the board have bulldogs on an army base, and are the vets qualified to deal with bulldog issues if they Adminse?
I'm sure there's much more I need to worry about, but I can't really think of anything yet that DOESN'T concern my bulldog.
Also as a side note, does anyone here show that is currently on active duty? I've been showing Cleo for a while and she loves it, I really don't want to give up, especially since she only has 13 points to go!
Thanks for all your help,
Sara

Go Army!
Welcome. I spent twenty-two years with my husband on active duty in the army. My experience with Army vets has been this. They tend to be pretty generic in their expertise. Remember, one of their main jobs used to be meat inspection.
Because bulldogs need a specific kind of expertise, I would recommend that you find an off-post vet. At least inquite when experience the Post vet has had with bulldogs. Most military vets do not even do neutering or spay surgery. They are mainly shots and tags. If your bullie every needs surgery, athe Post Vet Clinic will probably not be equipped. Also, they are strictly a nine to five practice... no emergencies. Hope this helped.
By the way, we loved our Army years.
Welcome Amy.........
Cleo sure is a cutie! Keep the pics coming!
