my ribcage is just as sore as it was on Sunday and the only thing that gives me some relief is a heating pad. Aleve isn't really helping much at all.
Since I can't sleep on my side, I've been using Bear as a body pillow. He sleeps on a pillow with his back towards me so I lean back on him so I'm not laying flat on my back. He's so warm and comfy that I have been able to get a few hrs of sleep for the past few nights. And he loves that he can still sleep with mommy.

A bulldog's back makes the greatest heating pad ever
Flynn also loves to sleep with back against my back. Like you, I just love it. Clovis does it too but not as often. She prefers to sleep with her butt up against my upper back.

That is so very sweet!
I love laying up against the puppies like that (at least when they allow me to.)

My handsome Malcolm, gone but not forgotten!
Ow
sorry to hear that, sounds very painful. I threw out my back once when we moved into a new house and I tried to carry a 25" tv upstairs with Sam (not under the ribcage though my back) It took 3 days after that for my back to go out when i was exiting my car to go into the grocery store. I was stuck. I was stuck hunched over for 3 days - couldn't even roll over. I'll never forget how bad it hurt.
No an old sears one wouldn't be ours. Cara brand is ours. Anyway I hope you feel better that really stinks but yay about the new carpet. =) Next time just rip the darn thing out. LOL

injury
we got new, thick frizee carpet Sun and when they moved the furniture back, they plugged the bedroom phone into a dead jack. Didn't know until that night when the phone rang and it was dead. We had to move the whole br set, solid wood platform bed, piers, backboard, etc to get back there. When we tried pushing the platform back, I got a massive sharp pain under my ribcage, fell to the floor almost in tears.
Thought I may have broken a rib but Vicky said it was inflammation under the ribcage - she gave me the name of it. It hurts to cough, sneeze, deep breathe and I can't lay on my side. The heating pad is an old one from Sears - probably not one of your?
At least the carpet looks fabulous

thats how Onslow sleeps with me too, well either that or he's got to have some part of his body touching me somewhere. LOL I didn't catch what is going on with you but I hope you feel better soon. What kind of heating pad is it? Just curious if it's one of ours or not. =)

he always does
he's slept with me for over 2 yrs so it's nothing new to him. But he usually sleeps with his head on my chest, throat or face.

I got sandwiched between two of them last night and was nice and toasty in my bed..

maybe you need to get another bully to help out lol. you think??
hope you feel better soon.
what I had transthoriac surgery on my chest.they had to go into the side of the chest wall and break all my ribs...what I used was a large teddy bear to lean on..if not for that bear i would have been much more miserable. as odd as it sounds..it was more comphy to sleep on the ribs that were broken..against the bear..
