I am going to tell my vet that I'm not vaccinating her unless her titer comes back with zero immunity, and I am also not going to continue giving her heartworm meds unless the possibility exists for the heartworm microfilaraie to be active.
Oh and she is also on a completey raw diet, meat only, no veggies.
He should LOVE me by the end of the visit!
I am very worried about her hips too. I can feel something 'clicking' in her back end sometimes, and my husband felt it too. That just scares me to death!
She has been such a psycopath lately, I want him to go over her with a magnifyfing glass to see if there is ANYTHING that is hurting her that we just are missing.
Wish us luck!

Good Luck!
Be sure to update us when you get back.
Good luck!!!! =) I'm rootin' for ya! Hahaha...
I remember going in to my new vet when I moved, with guns a'blazin', ready for a fight.
"I feed raw. I don't vaccinate. I don't use Frontline."
LOL... Lucky for me, I have a vet who understands. And recently, I've run into a little resistance with the new vets on his staff, but while they do attempt to get me to see their side, they eventually relent.
Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Thanks!
I am so worried about her hips. She has been a LUNATIC lately too, so now I am worried she is hurting.
She is so crazy, now she puts HERSELF in her crate when she gets upset at the other dogs!

I can't remember how old she was
when we started her on the heartworm meds.
I posted a LOT of pictures of her today, under Pat's thread asking for screensaver pics.

did you get my email about your son and raw?
I wasn't sure it went through. I also posted here yesterday a map that divides the country up according to when the temps stay above 60 and heartworm microfilaraie(sp?) are active. If it's not warm enough, they aren't alive, so you are basically giving poisons to kill bugs that can not exist yet. I am scared about all the cancer and heart problems dogs seem to be getting, so I want to avoid poisons as much as possible.
