For Adminane, Why this board is so great

Since I have discovered this board I have come everyday and always feel welcome and am truly entertained by all the wonderful and thoughtful pictures. Please know we do look and appreciate them all, even if we are unable to respond.

For most people, there are one or two significant events in their life that they can qualify as “life changing”. These events are likely catalysts for changing the way we think about everyday things and the people in our lives. These events can also overshadow, smaller, incremental events that share the same results.
When I started posting to BDW several months ago, I did so with the main reason of learning more about being a good doggy mom and to check out some pictures. After these last few months I have discovered that my time on this board has proven a greater purpose, one that the world could learn from.
It started with the realization of the vast diversity of posters on this board. We represent a whole world of variety: different nationalities, different races, different ages, and different socio-economic backgrounds. We are deftly able to co-exist, learn from each other and find value in those differences.
This board has also demonstrated the importance of good leadership. Although there have been some squabbles in the past, it was proven that excellent and just leadership (Webbie) and supportive, open-minded posters can come to resolutions that are fair and beneficial to all. (Maybe Webbie for President???)
Thirdly, I have been overwhelmed by the caring and generous nature from, what may seem to outsiders, a group of strangers. Bulldogs may be our common denominator for coming to this board, but it is want to help others and cultivate meaningful relationships that is the true tie that binds. I have seen this demonstrated time and time again over the last few weeks with hurricanes and personal tragedies.
So thank you BDW for opening my eyes and showing me what an ideal and peaceful world can look like.

I have to agree.
I have been lurking for a little over a year and sometimes post. I love it here. I posted a few pictures of Lily and got some responses but not that many. Still the people on this board are so giving when there is a need and so helpful when someone has a question.

I feel the same way. When the hurricanes were threatning us I felt such support from this group. I would open my home to anyone here without hesitation even though I have not met in person anyone. I share a lot of things and feelings with this board that I don't even share with my friends who live close to me. I do mention Webbie and all of my cyberpals in my prayers every night

go back and Read Gary's response....very true, timing has alot to do with it.
I don't always get tremendous answers to my posts....but if i post with a problem concerning my bullie there is always quite a few posting answers.
don't go away..keep posting....your pics were great, sorry i did not tell you when i first veiwed them but most of the time I am reading and posting from work during down time.
