10 things...

I missed out the first time around, but figured I’d better do it this time...

1. I am 30 years old and live in Renton, Washington.

2. I am engaged to a wonderful man, Lance, who cooks, cleans, and does practically everything for me. He has three sons from two previous relationships (never been married). He has full custody of his oldest son, Aaron (11 yrs), and the younger two, Justin (7 yrs) and Tyler (6 yrs), visit every other weekend. We live together, and I’m enjoying my new role as “step-mom”.

3. I’ve been married & divorced once before. I got into bulldogs with my first husband (because he wanted one), and the rest is history. We divorced in April ’99, and he is also still involved in the breed.

4. I got started in bulldogs about nine years ago. I did almost everything wrong and purchased a puppy out of the local classifieds. I lucked out because the breeder was a member of the local and national bulldog clubs, and she encouraged me to join the club and show my puppy. That puppy became my first champion.

5. I have owned/co-owned seven bulldogs to date. I have owned two champions, and one obedience titled bulldog. My current bulldogs are Pepper (6 ½ yrs, red brindle, spayed female) and Grady (almost 3 yrs, white, male). A few years back, Pepper earned both the AKC & CKC “CD” obedience titles, and Grady is close to earning both his AKC & CKC championships.

6. I am the current President of the Bulldog Club of Greater Seattle. Last year, I was the club’s Secretary, and I was President for the three previous years. I am also a member of the Bulldog Club of America, and was a national Councilor for Division V in 2000-2001. I enjoy active membership in both clubs and try to attend every possible local, bulldog-related function.

7. I was born in Thousand Oaks, California, and lived for a short time in Phoenix, Adminzona. I spent most of my childhood in Diamond Bar, California, then moved up to Redmond, Washington just in time to start ninth grade. I’ve been in the Seattle area ever since.

8. I started playing soccer and fast-pitch softball when I was in third grade. I continued to play both sports until I broke my ankle in my junior year of high school. That ended my soccer career, but I was able to continue playing softball. I earned a softball scholarship to Shoreline Community College, and played mostly pitcher and third base. That was ten years ago, but I still enjoy playing in the local slow-pitch softball leagues with friends.

9. I work as an Office Administrator for The Boeing Company (Commercial Airplanes) in Kent, Washington. My five-year anniversary with the company is coming up next month.

10. My favorite food is teriyaki steak or chicken with rice, and my drink of choice is Coke.
