Does anyone here live in an area with a winter climate full of snow and cold with their Bullies? I would like to purchase Amelia a real winter coat as we will obviously have to run outside to potty throughout our winters.
Is a heavy fleece blanket sort of coat enough - just for brief forays out with us besides her daily potty breaks.
Thanks!
Sophie never needed a coat...
but she didn't go out in the snow but long enough to potty and run back in!!
Amy and Sophia
Thanks!
My biggest concern is that even going out to potty, we can reach negative, double digit numbers here. I don't think she'll want to be out much longer than to pee but if we take her with us somewhere I want to make sure she's wearing the equivalent of our own parkas :D
I buy my coats and some dresses from
www.rosiesclothes.com. They are made to fit a bulldog.
OMG!
My hubby is going to lose his mind over the $$$ I'm about to spend! Hahaha!
Thanks so much or the link. And supports a great cause too.
Your welcome.
They are really well made and if there are any issues the owner is really good at fixing.
I ended up purchasing
the oh-so-cute Hippie-notized heavy fleece pullover from Rosies, for the days that it is above freezing, and went with a Hurtta Ultimate Warmer coat that is waterproof and actually rated for extreme cold weather with a polar fleece liner & a custom draw-string fit. It is not uncommon to wake up to -20°F here in our valley so I do want the utmost protection for her even for short potty/play trips outdoors. Don't know about booties yet. Her former Mom said she bought some for her one year but it was such a chore getting them on and off that she just kept good, absorbent towels handy to dry her feet thoroughly and, of course, limited her play time in the snow accordingly.
Wow, your coats sound SO adora-bull !!! And I am
I am JUST NOW checking out this site, and I can tell I'm gonna be in trouble !!!!!!! :-)

Andddd, the FIRST thing I saw is a gorgeous "wedding" dress for my Sophie----I am in LOVE
with the sheer skirt and polka dots!!!! :-) But...OMG, NO WAY can I spend $120.00 on
ONE dress....LOL! Now I need to peruse the OTHER things that are (hopefully) less
expensive! Sophie already has a nice, warm coat and cute hat for winter....I get lots
of clothing and other stuff for all 3 babies at "baxter boo. com " ......they have GREAT sales,
and they always email me specials such as 40% off of everything, which is pawsome! :-)

We live in Minneapolis and it gets very cold and very snow-cover
We used to dress the bulldog in a coat, but until it gets colder than zero degrees, we find we don t need one. I do dig otu part of the back yard to make it easier to find and clean up the poo and for the dogs to do their business.
Cold is better than hot, with bulldogs.
