Went ot see Dr. B today. Fatboy's drooling and air licking is most likely due to his

food. I have to switch him over to kibble specifically for sensitive digestive systems. Can anyone recommend a grain free brand for this? I'm on yet another mission to find the food that works for him. Poor little guy; he cannot catch a break.

Blue Buffalo has a sensitive system grain free.

I think Castor & Pollux does as well. Most of the high end grain free should have a good sensitive system variety...

I use Nature's Variety Instinct limited ingredient grain free

Lamb with good results.  Nugget does not do well with Turkey, Fish, Chicken, Beef, and Rabbit.  Dooley eats Wellness Simple limited ingredient grain free Turkey.  He cannot tolerate chicken, or fish.  I know it is very frustrating.  Good luck.

Our babies do VERY well on Nature's Balance Limited Ingredient

Salmon and Sweet Potato.  It's actually only Meaty with the allergy issues----we've done MANY food trials with him

over the years!!!  This brand has worked very well for him, he no longer gets the HORRIBLE, pus-filled, bleeding

interdigital cysts, his air licking isn't anything like it used to be!  His deep tail pocket also doesn't cause

him as much misery as it used to, and we don't have to clean it as often as we used to, ---- Is this ALL due to food?

Oh, I WISH I Knew----LOL!!!  I only say that because  the more I read and the more we deal with his ongoing

chronic ear issues, I wonder if a LOT of his problems aren't environmental...??? ...I'm actually almost

SURE now that his **EAR** issues are NOT food-related, but the others---MAYBE!.....

....

.

We've taken him to specialists, etc and determined that since allergy testing isn't that accurate, (I was just

SURE he was allergic to chicken or beef, which he might be!)   we decided not to do the testing.  Good Luck---

I hope sweet FatBoy does well on a new kibble!  If this helps, I've had two vets tell us that bullies usually

do very well on a FISH kibble (and of course, no grains!), and that has been true for Meaty....((( hugs ))

to FatBoy!!!!!

Food one of the Hardest

Things we do. Just be care ful his Ph will go up swiching food. Bubba eats Nautral Balance Sweet Potato and venison. Well we are going for another flavor now seems he just does not want to eat it. Loulou is on food I get from her vet to lose weight. Bubba wants that food but he cant have it. seems like here we go again. But I'm not having problems with their food Bubba is just to pickey and you know how we feel if they don't like it. Good luck with Fat Boy.

Gracie is on Natures Variety Limited Ingredient Lamb

This was her fourth dog food and I finally got lucky.  It's a very high premium dog food, very expensive but totally worth it.  She had terrible itching, runny eyes, licking her paws, it was awful.  this dog food is great! Good luck I love that little Fatboy he is precious!!
