UPDATE...Nuggets pathology report

It was a squamous cell carcinoma. We caught it very early and it never penetrated the first layer of the cornea. We got good margins and the graft is looking good. Dogs with Keratitis..inflammation of the cornea caused by infection, dry eye and others have a higher risk of getting this because of the constant inflammation. This is something we will have to continue to watch because Nuggets eyes have alot of scaring from her previous owners not taking care of her.

hear this! I'll bet it was hard to wait for the news! Prayers said for Sweeet Nugget !!!!

We had a precious foster guy last summer who had eye issues (not as bad as Nugget's) because of previous

owner's neglect, too. I'm sooo happy Nugget is with you now !!! (( hugs ))
