Stars Come Out To Help Bulldogs During The Holidays

The holidays are hard on pets, as it results in high abandonment. Stars Beth Stern, Ice-T, Coco Austin and others are coming together to help this holiday season.

Well-known actress and animal rights advocate Beth Stern and rapper and reality TV star Ice-T and his wife Coco Austin are coming together this holiday season to help raise funds for Long Island Bulldog Rescue (LIBR). The organizations raises funds to help, heal and home precious English Bulldogs who are looking for their furever homes.

On December 12, 2016, Stern and Ice-T and his wife will be joined by Jill Rappaport and Cat Greenleaf, among others, who will be enjoying a holiday event featuring jazz music, a buffet dinner and wine and cocktails donated by Chatham Imports. Sponsors of the event also include Bulldog Gin, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Patricia Cornwell, Staci Gruber, The RTA Store and The Honest Kitchen, who all have donated for a live online auction that is packed with wonderful gift selections for family and friends. The event and auction give an opportunity to find one-of-a-kind gifts that include jewelry, artwork and experiences, all while helping fund LIBR.

Laurette Richin, LIBR founder says that this time of year is known as the Holiday Abandonment Season. People often leave puppies and/or injured or senior dogs in order to attend parties or go on vacation. LIBR works to immediately be able to respond to those needs, as well as others such as people surrendering their pets because of expensive health costs or other situations that make it impossible to keep their pets.

LIBR  works to save as many as they can afford to help, heal and home, as these loving abandoned and/or surrendered dogs face eventual euthanasia otherwise.
