I just wanted to say again, THANK YOU to all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers. I visited w/her yesterday (after our rescue group's halloween party) and she looks and sounds amazing! She's a quick little healer.

I also officially declared my intentions to be a foster failure, lol. So, in a week or so, after her vet recheck - she will be coming home to stay :) I did pretty good - made it to the 4th foster before falling completely in love.

The good news is that she gets along very well within the head of the rescue group's pack, so I will be able to continue fostering without issue. That was the final thing that I needed to know.

So, in a week or so Vern will officially have a sister - no more lonely doggie beds for him!

Vern will love this. I can't foster either I have problems letting my daughter boyfriend take his dogs back home when I babysit him.

I'm welling up a bit here... I'm SO happy for you both. And I'm so glad to hear that she is healing well!

Rory has a long life of love and laughter in store - and that makes me smile!

Kathie - I'll here are a few pics of them together before she left for her surgeries. I've had her for a bit over a month - Vern and her were "lovers" instantly.

That is why I could never foster, because I would also have to keep them too. I could also never have any of my animals have babies for that reason. It's great that she found you and gets to stay.
