I got her from a family dairy in Petaluma a few weeks ago. I don't come to BDW often anymore, but wanted to update you that remember me. :) Maya walked in the trailer better than most horses. As a matter of fact, I parked my rig on the shoulder down the road from the dairy because I wasn't sure where to park. They said that was fine and we just walked her down the road on a halter.
She then walked into my cow barn to be milked 45 minutes after getting here (after 2 hours in the trailer) and was a good quiet milker.
She's friendly, follows me around like a pet, gives me 2gallons of milk TAD. I just love her!

LOTS of fresh milk and cream. Made yogurt, sour cream, and butter today. Mozzarella and ricotta cheese tomorrow. Fresh cream in my coffee... Real ice cream this summer.

Wow takes me back
Seems funny to be old enough to have farm memories, but the butter looks so good. I've churned a little. I love the cream too, but I found the milk a little strong even as a kid. The raw sure tasted funny as I always had store bought till I was 8 or so. Well that's a neat cow....Have fun
