I have a little bully girl named Sophia. I love this girl so much! She is sweet, loves to cuddle, is happy and playful even at almost 10 years of age, and she is a nice little size bully that can sleep on the bed with no problem!
Now, the negative! She absolutely does NOT like other female dogs. She can be around them only if the other dog is very submissive. But...she still fusses at them at times. I would prefer she wasn't like that, but she is. I don't know if a male is any better though really! I haven't had a male bully so can't say.
I prefer female dogs, they are much sweeter than the boys. But the boys are easier going in general.

I think females are a little more independent and seem to be more unforgiving. And truthfully, I think they are smarter. In my opinion, males seem to be more doofy, social dogs.
Either way, if you take your time in choosing a good breeder, you will end up with a dog with a sound temperament and a great companion.

moody all around not very nice, but loved her to pieces. Our male now is a big lug, clumsy, dopey attitude a big goof. Our female that we have now was given to us by a family that was basically tired of her, she was 4 at the time. I was very hesitant in bringing another female into the house after the first. We are very lucky, she is the biggest love bug, loves people. She has her moments where she attempts to be boss to the male bulldog luckily he is very mellow, but it is her who tries to start stuff. Good luck with your decision.

I think they are easier to housebreak. I have had MANY dogs. I dont think personality is sex specific or intelligence. If you are not planning to breed (hopefully not) both sexes should be neutered so that is not a consideration. I have had extremely aggressive males--and females. The same can be said for lovebugs and cuddlers. Females tend to be a little smaller. If you are visiting the pups to choose one, perhaps appearance and their behavior around you will make the decision.

is so sweet and loving and she was a devil to housebreak at 5 years old. The boys on the other hand are more self sufficient, but they are so well behaved. They still want loving, but just not quite as cuddly as Jessa.
Oh gosh, that's a tough one!!
