My breeder called yesterday after taking Carson to the vet and said that my puppy has a heart murmur. She wanted me to wait another 3 weeks and take him back to the vet to recheck him,but I backed out from getting him.Did I do the right thing?

The first bully I got from a breeder had a heart murmer. I can't remember what stage it was, but I didn't keep her. It broke my heart to take her back the day after I got her, but she gave me Kofi.
It turned out that it was not a reputable breeder.
Bullies can have health issues, and I was paying for a healthy bulldog.
Kofi and I had almost 10 healthy, happy years together.
I believe I did the right thing.
So sorry you're experiencing this. If you want Carson, perhaps you should talk to the vet that diagnosed him and get his opinion on how serious it is.

I would have done the same
As sad as it was that you had to back out, the long term pain you would have gone through would have been much worse

What grade was it....
I've known some with a low grade to live good lives.

It depends on the grade but...
it was good of the breeder to let you know before you took him home and got hooked. Hope you find just the right one!
