Lots of methods--attaching a fan to the crate--Home Depot and Lowes has Ryobi which has rechargeable batteries. A cool coat--wet it in cool water; a cool collar--you fill with ice, a wet towel in the bottom of the crate, a spray bottle you use to mist cold water, feeding ice cubes or putting ice cubes in his water bowl, covering crate with a reflective cover, placing an umbrella over crate to provide shade.

pits along the belly back to the testicles and cooling these areas down first in an emergency are the best, but better to avoid situations where excessive heat will take a toll on them. Think of a bulldog laying flat out on a cool floor. All the things mentioned are good interventions.

Quick cooler
Dip a towel in cold (or ice-cold) water and hold the towel against the underbelly and the testicles...... They love it, especially males.

You are right, Ineke. The major veins run in the groin and arm

And always Winston, gone but not forgotten!
We waited
We waited and avoided the summer shows, did only the spring and fall shows. It's really hot in the Interior of BC, I didn't want to take any chances.
