He even gets one pump of grizzly salmon oil a day. He pukes even more if I give him 2 pumps (the recommended dosage). I don't use a furmintator, he is brushed maybe once a week with a soft baby brush. It is currently 17 degrees out brrrrr, if he looses more fur I'm going to have to get him a down feather jacket. Any ideas? There isn't any crusties or flakes just thin fur so far.

I sure wish that I had some answers for
your guy!
Kofi has improved so much since feeding raw. I don't know why Chumlee is having such a problem. Any suggestion that I could give would only be guesswork.
Could he be allergic to the Salmon oil? Some give fish oil tablets.
Dang it, I hate he's not been doing well!
Give him a great big hug from me!
Thoughts
and questions. It doesn't look like staph or demodex, but it could be. If it isn't the flea stuff you may want to get it scraped to rule out the staph or demodex.
How old is he?
Do you use a flea protection?
My puppy is having some of the same stuff but not nearly as bad and I'm pretty sure it has to do with the Revolution (Flea stuff). I used it for 2 months. I didn't administer it this month so we will see if that was the problem.
As for the Grizzley Salmon Oil. I have the same problem with Ester getting sick if she gets to much (it's just too rich)....so I only give her 1/2 a pump and not daily and her coat is gorgeous.
10 months on 12/3 *more pix*
His last dose of frontline was 9/15 he had it 3 times (July, August and September). He never really had this issue before, just some thinning fur down by his tail but that has grown back really nice.
I will back off the grizzly.
What about giving eggs instead without the shell? Here is another view

It could be staph
I would probably have the Vet do a skin scrape just to make sure it isn't staph.
Similar.....
Ours had something very similar. They didn't have the crusties usually associated with staph and they just seemed to get thinner hair on their backs. Our vet said to use a 4% chlorohexiderm shampoo. We have used that ever since and it went away and we haven't had it come back. You have to leave it on for 10-15 minutes when you bathe them but I will admit sometimes I only leave it on for about 5-10 minutes. Maybe try that. Also, we usually bathe once every 2 weeks.
Thank you
for the info. I will give that a try.
