Fatboy had just ate dinner when my husband came home. I was working and didn't realize how much they were playing. Well now Fatboy has been drooling like a faucet and licking the air non-stop. He's generally uncomfortable and has been moving from spot to spot. I had him lay down so I could rub his belly. There seemed to be no pain and he was actually starting to fall asleep. His stomach was pretty rumbly and he is burping every now and then. He did throw up a HUGE mass of white foam; no food. He has been trying to get to his water, but I didn't know if he should have any so I put his water away.
Is this just an upset stomach? I don't think it's bloat. I know I won't receive a response due to how late it is right now, but I will be keeping an eye on him tonight.
Fatboy aka Stinky :)
I don't know, but...
It sounds like a big upset. Some questions:
1) Did he possibley eat anything he shouldn't?
2) Is his tummy hard?
3) Other than the foam, are there any other symptoms?
Tummy hard? Vet.
Eating anything he shouldn't is...well...will he take food now? It's lees a problem if he'll eat. (I'm not a professonals vet.)
Do you have an emergency vet in the area you can call? Keep the number near by in case things get worse.
We're thinking of you. Let us know what happens.
How is he this morning?
I have read that when they have a lot of gas, give them Gas Ex and put them on their left side and rub their bellys. The drooling is a sign of nausea or pain. Hope he's better today. We always let our guys rest for a hour before walks, play, etc.
How's cutie pie doing now? I don't
know a lot about this, but hope he's okay!
Sometimes Meaty & Sophie throw up white foam for no apparent reason, AND/OR, when they drink too much
water.....

Thank you everyone. Fatboy is doing fine today. I kept the
emergency vet on speed dial on my phone and I confined him to his crate next to the bed. He continued to drool throughout the night, but he was otherwise fine. I did hear him burping throughout the night.
His stomach was a little enlarged, but it wasn't hard. And I didn't see him eat anything he shouldn't have. For a majority of the night I was patting his back, his brisket, and massaging his belly around. This seemed to help him burp more. He is pooping as normal and eating his food with no problem. I will definitely remember to grab some Gas Ex the next time I am at the store.
We leave for our cruise this Saturday. This is the LAST thing I want to worry about; cruise or not. Our babies are so precious to us. I'm going to have a hard time leaving him at boarding place. But at least there will be 24/7 care for him.
Fatboy aka Stinky :)
Thanks for letting us know how he is...
I was a little worried about him! Enjoy your cruise!
