just started her on chicken an veggies an she seems to really love it. I've tried every dry that I can think of an there's always something that disagrees with her. I'm hoping this works out. because I hate to see Penelope scratching her face raw. plus I've read rave reviews about it an all the articles I've read on b.a.r.f really make me feel a lot better about feeding her the raw diet. if any one can give me any pointers I would truly appreciate it. thanks again in advance.

how long can you leave the raw food out in bowl ?
As I very new to this I don't know how long you can
leave the food out before you have to through it out? I know their used to eating It cause their being pack animals but I don't want Penelope to get sick ? Any tips or input on this would be greatly appreciated Thanks again in advance.....

You can't leave it out
If she doesn't eat it then it needs to go in the frig. Mine eat in 1 minute...so nothing is left out. Is she not eating? If not then chicken may not be to her liking. Since this is new she may not even like raw. They are all different.
You do have to feed a percentage of meat, organ and bone. 80-10-10. I personally do not feed whole bones, like throwing them a chicken leg or back...scares the heck out of me. So I only feed ground bone and I have one that gets very little bone. He's been compacted twice.
I feed Penelope healthy Paws Raw (Toronto,Ont)
I don't have time to leave it out cause she inhales it...lol
I was just wondering cause like I was saying this is all new to me, glad to know not to leave it out for more then a couple of minutes. I've started Penelope on chicken an veggies then next week beef an veggies then turkey an veggies. in between I mixed in her apple slices or tuna.
I just want to feed her the best that I can an try an feed her dry in between....
Like I said though any help, tips would be awesome

Some more goodies to add
Soft boiled eggs and canned sardines in water. Better than tuna in my opinion! Good luck!
I'll try that
Thanks for the tip she like sardines an boiled eggs. I just read on here about the tuna. thanks again

Eggs and Sardines
I feed eggs raw once a week. The sardines I get are fresh whole frozen, raw, totally unprocessed, about 7-10 in. I usually give these to them as a weekly treat in the summer out in the yard since they are a little messy. We call them fishsicles.
I\ll have to try the fishsicles
there's a market close to my house so I should be able to find some good ones an get a good deal.

Prepackaged Raw
should already have the right ratios of meat, bone and organ, so you shouldn't have to figure that in. I fed Natures Variety Prepackaged Raw when I first started, but with 3 dogs it was just too expensive. It is really the way to go if you just have 1 dog, it's so easy.
thanks again
Its just me an Penelope so it should be ok on the pocket book so to speak......lol Also I read all the ingredients an its got everything from meat, bone, organs, kelp, cucumber an all that good stuff. Penelope's been on RC Bulldog 24 with no problems except bad gas so It wasn't agreeing with her an I sure she's tired of all the switching an problems so I went with raw cause I've heard nothing but rave reviews about B.A.R.F. so hopefully this is the last switch for us.........
