Skin Scraping? :/

Since I've been on high alert I thought I would ask if anyone has ever had a skin scraping done on their bullies.  I'm taking my other dog in for a biopsy next week she got a new lump that doesn't feel like the fat ones, it feels like a hard potato.  She's old and crabby when I touch it to see how much it has grown makes me so nervous.  She just lost her best friend last Spring.  Chumlee's vet suggested a possible scraping "down the road' on his leg.  The skin is different color where the fur is and his fur always stays up like that.  He is almost 7 months old still a baby.  Look...

Sorry, no help on the scraping.

I will say that Kofi has a "girly swirl" on her side. The hair color is no different though. When she had some spots awhile back that she lost some hair (seasonal allergies the vet said), the hair is slightly darker where it has filled in.

I'm sorry your other baby is having problems. Keep us posted.

Hugs to you and your gang from Kofi and me.

Thank you Carol

Shorty is just acting so strange and not like herself and it is so heartbreaking because this is so familiar.  She has been 'layin' pretty low" and the rest of the crew  has been close by her side.

These are from today

Sleeping in Chumlee's crate.....

My 7 mo old puppy had to get skin scraped ...

Because she had demodex mange.  She had it really bad, all over and she had some raised areas like what I see in the pics.  Not sure if this is the same thing.  Keep us posted.

Yes skin scraping

they just take a razor blade and scrape the fur down to the skin.  Then they will look at it under a microscope.  Mine also had it for demodex mange.  It should scab and heal over within about 2 weeks.  It will just be a red spot with no fur at first.  Good luck with your baby.
