Meaty's had one on his back for a while, 2 vets have assured us it's fine, and they've each drained it once. (a bit, not totally). Both times, they show us the syringe that has grey "gunk" in it.....no biggie.....I've done LOTS of reading about them, too----how they're SO common, nothing to worry
about , and WOW===yesterday I read about a doggie that had them ALL OVER her body.....but the doggie was okay HEALTHwise, thank goodness! I have to believe what the vets and websites say----that they're NOT painful----I pray that's true! I can imagine there's SOME pressure, though!...
....
It's gotten a bit larger recently, and again-----everyyyything I've read assures me these don't affect their health, and we are NOT
worried---Now he has a new one on his leg---VERY small, and it's very moveable, which both vets have said is always a good
sign---it feels like it'd just filled with water. The large one on his back is quite firm, and since it has grown a bit recently, I considered
taking him in. We assume it doesn't cause him any pain----he seems fine. The last time the vet drained it partially, we LOVED how most
of the rest of the "GUNK" drained on its own the next couple days---of course we'd clean the area with a warm, clean, soapy towel. I'm just SO curous if Meaty gets any relief when it drains, or if it makes no difference to him....
....
I've also asked both vets that IF it ruptures on its own, I've read that it could cause a bad infection, but both vets weren't concerned at all.......soooo, I'd love to hear what y'all think / what you've experienced. We will take our babies to the vet any time we think it's needed, but this is one of those
nebulous things......No reason for an unneeded visit.... Thanks in advance!
