I rescued a 2-3 year old bullie (Wendy) a few weeks ago. I'm trying to figure this out thinking someone here has had a similar situation.
In about 20 minutes of chewing on her bone she regurtates. There is no splintering of the bone or anything that poses a hazard. Perhaps she is gulping air as she chews? I had a bullie for years prior to Wendy and she didn't have this issue - a bone gave her hours of gnawing enjoyment.
Any ideas on what I can do to so that she can enjoy her bone and/or what may be the cause of her regurtation when chewing? The bone is a soup bone - beef femur (raw - not baked)
I think you are right
sounds like she is either gulping air or salivating too much. Have no idea how to prevent it short of not giving her the bones.
Good luck
