Poor Sophie has external/ bleedinng hemorrhoid(s) (maybe?)

Hi, I'm waiting for the vet to re-open from lunch in an hour...Wondered if anybully here has seen this in

their bullies/ other doggies?  Just a small amount of blood after she strained to poo a few minutes ago....

When I went to clean/ look, I could see a tiny protrusion that I'm assuming is a hemorrhoid; however, we

never know for sure till we see the vet......I cleaned the area with warm water followed by Witch Hazel

(I figured "Tucks" hemorrhoid pads for humans have witch hazel, and it's soothing---Also, the vet

said I could also clean her vulva with Witch Hazel....so I really like the stuff!)..

,,,

She didn't wince or run away...the warm water and W.H. probably felt soothing.  The verrry SMALL amount

of bleeding stopped right away. Oh, but it scared me at first, to see blood dripping down....poor baby! :-(

I went to google right away, and read that hemorrhoids in dogs are very RARE, soooo,...we'll see what

the vet says.....(oh, and she also had several soft (not loose, but almost!) stools the other night....as a

matter of fact, she pooped FOUR times the other night, and I NICELY told "Daddy" that he probbbably

went overboard with the treats that evening....

.....

.ANyhoo, thanks for reading, and please lemme know any rectal issues your baby(ies) have  dealt with and what

happened....thank you, and HUGS to everbully!!!   :-)

.....

Hoping it is nothing serious...........

and that the tissue might just be inflammed.  Sometimes the tissue gets torn with a strain to poop, or too much pooping!  I hope it is something easy to heal like that.  Keep us posted.

Most of my dogs have had similar things at times.

A small sore from straining, it isn't all that rare. My guys almost always have firm stool and they have been known to have a litte blood every so often if they strain. I normally put yogurt on the meals, 1 tablespoon per meal. I find it helps keep stools from becoming too firm and causing the sore issue.

Just minor inflammation, she also emptied one of her

anal sacks that was full. .  Also tested her stool to check for bleeding, and there isn't any--yipppee!!!  :-)  I guess she

just strained a bit too much....and luckily, she only bled that one time....sweet girl!  :-(
