I've been searching the archives for what I need to ask the vet as to what anesthetic to use an not to use, I know aceprmazine is no good but isoflurane an sevoflurane is ok, I also need to make sure a tech stays with her till she wakes up an the breathing trac comes out an she is breathing on her own, no food after 8pm the day before an no water the morning of. I need to know if I missed anything an any input would be greatly appreciated. Penelope is my little peanut an I want to be as proactive as possible.
Thanks in advance.......

SOunds like you've done your homework!
She'll be fine, hopfully you will too lol.
Thank you. I got this vet off the home page
I am just a little spooked cause I`ve read a lot of horror stories about our bullies an operation`s. So I`m trying to get as much info as possible to make sure nothing goes wrong for my little girl. Thanks though you`ve made me feel a lot more better seeing you think I`ve got all bases covered.
Thanks again

Aww......((( hugs )) to you and Penelope! That's wonder-bull
that you've done research..... Sorry if you already mentioned this, but is your vet also VERY familiar with bulldogs? :-)
When I had to leave Sophie at the vet the day of her spay, I was SOO nervous, even though their vet is truly a bulldog expert---I
was still scared, I think that's totally normal! I was nervous and off work that day, so to bide the time, I decided to bake cookies
and make a "thank you" card for the vet and his staff :-) When they brought her out to me after her surgery, I almost cried
with relief!!! ((( hugs ))) and Meaty and Sophie and I will say a prayer for her! :-)
Our sweet Archimedes "MEATY" Bones (or as we say...boneSHHH!) ---born 11/28/08---- our first bullllyyyy!!!
And SOPHIE Bubbles *Rapscallion* (LOL!) ---born 4/3/11----our second bulllllyyyy!!!!
Thank you it is nerve racking
Penelope goes in tomorrow an I'll be a basket case till I have her home. I got this vet off the home page an they have bull dogs an French bulldogs as clients, its really scary cause I've heard all the horror stories about them an un familiar vets. that's why I've done a lot of research to know what to ask an if they gave the wrong answer I would take Penelope some where else, she been to a few vet for small thing but something like this I didn't want to take chances, I've got a really good vibe from this vet so I'm going to stay with them. Thanks for the concern, you know what I'm feeling. any how I'm rambling on so I'll stop an report back on Friday when she's home with me :-)
