About a month ago my husband took Fatboy in to have his nose checked out. It had green in the cracks of his dry nose. The vet said it was normal and to moisturize with Vaseline. Well we've tried this, and now this is what we are dealing with. It looks it's infected. Does anyone know what is going on here?? And what can I do to make this better?

Sorry for the double pots, but the picture is in this thread.

Try some coconut oil
They love the taste
and it is very healing.
Hope this helps, don't know what I did to send the first post with no message.
You can rub it into
his nose a few times a day. Its also good for them internally, but in small amounts as it could give him the runs.
Coconut oil
will be very easily absorbed and is healing. As Carol said, it is good taken internally as a supplement. I don't think the amount you'd use to moisturize the nose would cause much digestive upset, and if so would only be temporary until he gets used to it.
I use Aquaphor
but coconut would be great as well.
You need to use it 2 x a day and after a few days the dry crusty stuff will flake right off. Rub it I well.
Did you say at one time you were having breathing troubles with him? He appears to have very tight nares in this photo, especially his left side. Of course it could be the photo angle.
I use snout soother
and I can't even tell you if it works that good cause he hates when I put it on him... But I have to say I use coconut oil on myself every night and both of my bulldogs go crazy trying to lick my legs... so I will try to cococut oil, that stuff works magic on everything else why not a bully nose... Wish it worked for Cherry eye!!! LOL that's next on the bulldog list!!!
