Nose fold problems
Submitted by tonyjerry on November 12, 2011 - 5:11pmFirst noticed Olivers nosefold to the left of his left nostril was red, inflamed, and losing hair almost 4 weeks ago. I gave him a week of Keflex and benadryl and the bright redness went away and most of the inflammation but it would keep getting worse everytime we went outside. Last week we went to the vet and he changed the antibiotic to augmentin which we have completed 9 out of 14 days. Definitely still red and inflammed but now we are also noticine this brown crust that collects in the crease which is started to look kind of raw. We are cleaning with chlorhexadine and started putting triple antibiotic on it yesterday. Has anyone had a similar issue? It really doesnt seem to be a bacterial infection to me. Thanks for any help

had him on orijen 6 fish for
had him on orijen 6 fish for a while, switched him over to the regional red last time, i think before this all started but im not positive. guess its back to fish which is fine, we just wanted to give him some variety. just use an anti-fungal cream then? thanks
Fatboy had what you described and we were given a special
soap to clean the folds with plus antibiotics.
