NO changes in diet.....but LOTS of extra stinky TOOTS!

Okay, I say LOL since SOMEtimes, they are SOOO bad, they're funny!  :-)  But seriously, I'm concerned that both babies

are HURTING??  The last couple evenings, they've been tooting MUCH more than usual, and sometimes, oh em gee---

the whole ROOM smells....

....

Meaty just toots and toots and his stools are fine, and his behavior is the same.  I'm more concerned for Sophie---

the last two nights, after sleeping several hours, she is wide awake and very restless....not for very long, but she

goes all over the place, looking for a new spot to sleep, runs frantically and poops, then lays down, has a lot

of gas, but finallllllly settles.  I've been gently rubbing her tummy to soothe her but also to make sure she's not

distended--and she's not.  It's the running around and acting like she can't relax that concerns me she's got

major gas pains...

....

Any thoughts?  I have been feeding them pure Greek yogurt with live cultures for 2 reasons---I've heard it's great for their

digestion, AND for their toots.  I admit, I forget many times...(bad Mommy!)....but the average they get it is about twice

a week.  We haven't changed their kibble or their treats......they eat totally grain-free, high-quality kibble that has

reallllly helped Meaty's chronic interdigital cyst problems (well, I assume it's the kibble, we also realize it could be

environmental allergies---even our very experienced bully-vet said he wasn't sure;!)

we have tried sooo many

other things to get rid of those horribly painful looking cysts, and he hasn't had any since we got him on this kibble!)

(by the way, it's made by the company  "Wellness" and is called "Simple" (Limited Ingredient)....Salmon and Potato.

some suggestions

Instead of giving them greek yogurt, you may want to try a really good pre-pro biotic. Just put one capsule in their food every day. I use Food Science of Vermont Mega Probiotic-ND. Another thought is that maybe the kibble that you have been feeding is not agreeing with them anymore. I know you are happy with it, but sometimes the manufacturer can change the formula slightly and this can cause some gastro upsets. Also, it is a good idea to change foods periodicially. Hope the fumes clear soon! xo

When one of my guys gets bad gas...

to the point where I worry about bloat, I give them a Gas ex, one of the green capsules or one chewable usually does the job and makes them more comfortable.  I would try eliminating the yogurt for a few days and see if that helps.  It's kind of strange that they are both gassy.

Our last bulldog

had gas that would empty a room, I used to swear that my kids were giving him beans... I took him to the vet and they gave him a shot. I'm pretty sure he had some runny Stool to go along with the smell.. I put him in my new car and took him to the vet and guess what - the new car smell was GONE... Even when the vet walked in the room, he gasped! What ever the shot was, it worked wonders!!!

No yogurt!

The Greek yogurt is probably your culprit, it is too rich. I feed plain, non-fat yogurt every day, that seems to help the most for all my guys. I give it regularly, otherwise it would cause gas rather than relieve it!

Could the dog food have expired? This is the only thing I can

think of that would cause this.  Unless the batch of dog food itself is bad.
