My bully has a cold

Hello! My five year old bully is showing signs of a cold, sniffling, runny nose, less energy. I read that a humidifier or putting a dog in steamed bathroom could help but since he's a bulldog I'm not sure putting him in a warm room is a good idea. Is it necessary to contact vet if symptoms seem mild?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks..

Hi Guys, good to see you

Sorry that Tuffy isn't feeling well:-(. I would make a vet trip if possible, you never know when a cold might turn into a lot worse very quickly if left untreated. Pneumonia strikes fast, and once in the chest is difficult to get rid of. Just as a precaution, I always take my guys on for colds or similar.

Hope he is feeling better soon! Don't be a stranger!

To the vet

One of the great things about having the insurance is that we can treat our bullies without hesition because of cost. My Mr. Higgins (RIP Dec 29/14)

had many expensive surgeries and my vet clinic was able to have the insurance pay the clinic their 80% directly and all I was left with was my 20%. Not for all the vet bills, just big surgeries costing thousands.

Best wishes go out to your sweet bully.
