Has anyone's bully out there gotten mosquito bites? If so, did you treat it with Benedryl, something topical or just leave it alone? Sally got 6 or so mosquito bites tonite on her leg and now they appear to have swollen up slightly. She isn't itching them, they just look bad! Another question... Does anyone know of a good bulldog vet in California, other than Dr Butchko? We live in Central CA and Dr B is about a 7 hr drive for us!

a partial answer
I live in KS so I can't give you any vet advice for CA, but I do wish you luck! :)
As for mosquito bites...honestly, I wouldn't give her any Benadryl unless you notice a reaction to the bites (beyond the typical swelling at the bite site). Winston dosen't really seem to react to the bites (beyond the raised bump). I'd only give her medication if you notice she starts to scratch or chew or acts like she has a case of the "itchies" (as I call them).

I agree with you...
I am doing nothing, and the bites look fine today! Anybody have any suggestions for Bulldog Vets in CA???

Bites on My Bullie
My bullie has gotten a few bite marks on her belly not sure what they are from. I have checked for fleas and she has none, but I give her 1 Bend. twice a day and really she could take 2. I only give her extra if she starts an itching fit.
what do the bites look like?
Winston never really reacts to mosquito bites...I don't think he even realizes he has one (I do, of course, because of the "welt"). With Bailey being itchy it makes me suspect maybe she has spider bites (not the scary kind...just ones that are itchy)...?
just curious! :)
