How is Sarge doing these days?

Any word on his followups or surgery?

We are leaving for Minmesota

We are leaving for Minmesota on June 11th for the univeristy to evaluate Sarge. If they agree his palate needs to be shortened he'll go in for surgery the next day. He'll spend the night and we can go home with him on the 13th. He's the same tho. Eats small meals and never water at the same time. Still throwing up off and on. We have to drive 8 1/2 hours away and the surgery will be any where from $1800 to $2100...Fingers crossed for Sarge. Yes, it's a lot of money and we're getting it together as they won't accept payemnts from us. We just want him to have a noral life. He's down 6.5 pounds but overall he's doing good. Still his goofy self. Very kind of you to ask about him.

Hope this surgery fixes his problem...

That's a long way to travel!  But I guess that you've picked the best place for him.  The prices are crazy - Chester's was an emergency and cost us thousands not even including the er visits.  Jessa, our 5 year old girl we adopted, had hers done by our family vet and the total bill was $300, but she didn't stay over night which was kind of traumatic for me (not her though).  Let us know how he does, fingers and paws crossed.

Sarge's Surgery

Yes, you uderstand the heartache. Hurts to think about walking away from him and waiting until the next day to see him. We are very comfortable about the university handling this so the long trek is worth it. Sarge is young and hopefuly will bounce back quickly. I'll let Sarge know Chester and Jessa are thinking of him. One week to go. Ready for him to be better and get this over with. I'll keep you posted. Thank you!
