and he sees very few Bulldogs. Most dog issues are not breed specific, just have to have a vet that is willing to listen, has a good level of experience, looks a little deeper when something isn't obvious. I also have to have a vet clinic that is available 24/7. I don't want to take my dogs to an emergency facility where no one knows my dog and has no access to their records.

Like Lynn said, for most situations you just need a good vet, period. I use a local vet that I have a good relationship with for most everything but if I feel I need a vet that specializes in bulldogs then I drive 2 hours to one. There is a very good bulldog vet in New Jersey that is about an hour from NYC. His family used to breed and show bulldogs for years.
