Hi all! It is so wierd , our bully amos is what seems to me like he's chasing a fly. his eyes/gaze is moving around like he see's a fly flying around and he is licking the air up towards his nose. I checked his nose and wiped his face and don't see any thing on it. I saw him try to rub his ear with his paw an hour ago.. Maybe a flea... this biggist thing I am still seeing him do is licking the air up towards his nose. we will take him in tomorrow if he continues but it's as if he is going crazy or something!

Does he have a tail pocket?
If so, he could have gunk in there that's making him crazy. It could also be neurological, Chester did that for a while when he was a puppy, but it never got worse and went away on it's own, although he does do some manic licking once in a while. Sometimes I could distract him with a treat or a spoonful of ice cream or peanut butter
Tail Pocketttt!!!! (maybe)....Meaty does the SAME thing, and
before we knew why he did it, some peeps thought it was a blood sugar issue, which I hear is common----so you may want
to rule that out. Also, whenever Meaty does what you describe, his penis protrudes a lot, so I wondered if it was a neurological
problem......even our bully-knowledgeable vet wasn't sure.
. Now when he "chases the fly that isn't there", we clean his tail pocket and he's fine. Hope your baby's okay :-)
Our sweet Archimedes "MEATY" Bones (or as we say...boneSHHH!) ---born 11/28/08---- our first bullllyyyy!!!
And SOPHIE Bubbles *Rapscallion* (LOL!) ---born 4/3/11----our second bulllllyyyy!!!!
hasn't done it sense last night
thanks for the inout everybody! after looking through past posts, I thought it might be the tail pocket so I proceeded to wipe it out. Nothing funky was found but thought it could also be his anal glands so we are taking him into the groomers this weekend to have them checked. I gave him a kong with a little peanut butter for distraction and that seemed to help. aside frome that we will just keep our eye on him:)

after a vet visit we are thinking it's focul siezures
So the fly bighting continued all day saturday so we rushed him into our vet, after talking with them and other research on our own we think it might be focul siezures. We ran all necessary blood work and nothing came back abnormal, the dr proscribed and anti siezure med for him but it makes me nervious .. we are hopefully going to be able to get him into a naturopathic vet as I have read online that diet adjustments and accupuncture can help with this. Does any one have any experience with this in there bully?
