Have to find the positives right?
Here is Vivi this past Saturday at the Eau Claire, WI show. I could critque these photos over & over...her back end is to the side, her front foot is still pointed out, back feet aren't quite right, etc...but at least my hand is out of her mouth!
She is adorabull....how about a profile picture too?? NM

Didn't get any good ones this weekend, but here is one from a few weeks ago when practicing in the yard. Not the best, but it's recent.

not just my bulldogs, but my heart & soul!!
hey Jen
Vivi looks great...... hummmmm K I'll share advice a very smart women told me... ehhehe my mom, you need to learn how to loose before you learn how to win!!! I think these are very wise words, when Vivi kicks butt it will make it so much more enjoyable. Keep at it her time will come!!
Jen ..... You know
I told you before she is aborabull. I still love her. From the pictures of her she will do great and I would suspect breeders judges will really appreciate her. Don't worry to much about being absolutely perfect, a good judge should find a good dog. The toes can turn out in front slightly (it's in the standard). You want to besure you are stacking her legs under her and not trying to turn her toes in if that is not the way she is made. It's best to have toes out some, instead of elbows out. I would work alittle more on stacking her hind legs so she doesn't looked pigeon toed in the back. The back toes should actually turn out some.
Best of luck with her. She's very cute.
Re: Still no win, but at least my hand is out of her mouth!
Jen she is beautiful!! It must be hard not to win, but you will. I think it's harder to win the first time out and then lose, you expect them to wow all the judges, and you don't.
Yup, you need to learn how to lose before you learn how to win, I agree with Kristie's Mom.
AGREED!!! I love that piece of advise... and
and her day will come!

Thanks all!!
Hahaha! Kristie!! Yes, your mom is correct...learning from losing is what we've got going on here!! A whole year's worth in fact! The Eau Claire show marked our 1 year anniversary of showing Vivi!
Kim-it's always fun to see you & the girls! Thanks for inviting me to dinner. Sorry I slept thru it! Congrats on all the wins this weekend.
Deb-I've heard that before (re: breeder judges). It's a shame that this summer there isn't one breeder judge at any all breed shows I was planning on attending. Maybe I should just save my pennies for specialty shows & traveling the US?!
Colleen-that's TOTALLY it! I do think Vivi should be wowing the judges! Pretty humbling! Hahaha!
Vivi has always been on the smaller size in her age classes & now being in open, I knew she'd be small. Heck, when you have a pregnant bitch on one side of you & on the other side a bitch that's always had 5-10 lbs on you (dang that Bean!!), you're gonna look small. She has filled out some in the last few months so I know her time will come, just wish I knew when that time would be cuz then I'd be saving my pennies for THOSE shows! LOL
I should say I do very much enjoy going to shows with her! We have a lot of fun, regardless of the ribbon color & I'm always so amazed at how well behaved she is! So it's still a lot of fun! We do have one class win (at a specialty show), and lots of reds.
In the meantime I will continue to work on my stacking & find little "wins"--like my hand not being in her mouth!
Thanks again for all the kind words!!

Re: Thanks all!!
hahaha, well I lost in jr handling for years and years and years and years.... My sister and I would study every dog part and wear out the pound puppies when the dogs got tired. it was always great advice when I got down about loosing. I'm no natural and have to work hard at it, but its challanging and I love that. My sister and I are the worse in the ring together, if she's sqeaking a toy and I tell her to knock it off she looks at me and says "TRAIN your dog then" lol, its to fun... right? you just need a few more, that way ones always ready to show...
