before repeating a breeding...

Do you all check in with your bully families to see how they are health wise, temperments, conformation?
I am in contact with a couple of families, but some never respond to my emails..no news is good news???
Just wondering what you all do to decide to repeat the breedings...
I kept 2 females from our litter and they are both doing awesome at home and in the ring..so we are just considering what our next move will be...

not just my bulldogs, but my heart & soul!!

Limited experience...

I have only had one litter of 4 puppies. We decided to repeat the breeding based on a couple of things. All 4 pups are in show homes. 3 of the 4 pups still look real good. 2 of the 4 pups will be shown now. I know that all pups would be placed in a repeat breeding. And last, but not least, all the pups have been very healthy.

I am sure that others will have more input, but this is how I made my decision (with the help of my mentors).

I do not see any point in doing a repeat mating

the pups would have to be multi best in show winners for me to ever consider it. There is no reason otherwise given that you already have the line to go on with.
