My addie had two litters one with 9 pups and her last with 11. Her milk was toxic. The first litter when I would go feed them the pups would be wet! Here is pics of her....

Yes, i always measure my bitches. We have had two that had large litters. One had 9 and measured 37 inches and we lost two pups. One had 10 and measure 38 inches and lost two again. The milk was real good with bith bitches. when i measure them i try to run the tape between her mammary glands so that i am just measuring her belly. 42 inches is huge. i hope i dont ever have one that big. Sounds scary for the bitch. Also the were all good size. all over 9oz.

How about some new pics of your babies? Like when you get a free moment, lol, like there is such a thing with puppies.

My little 45 lb bitch had a litter of 8. One was very lethargic at birth. She was tube fed and given clavamox. She was with us for a week, never really showed any improvement & then we lost her. The other 7 are thriving. Mom had plenty of milk for them until this week. They turned 3 weeks old on Tuesday. They're sucking her dry now so we've started the weaning process.

our girl usually weighs about 30-32 lbs. On delivery day (3/30/10) she weighed 57.5 and had a litter of 8. We thought she ate a watermelon from our garden. We were worried because during the pregnancy she had headshakes, and blister like teets but no other signs of edema anywhere. She is very short and held the pups quite low; teets were about 1/2 an inch from touching the floor. All pups doing well with weights at birth ranging from 12-15.9 oz.
