PG pix of Chubbs for Laura...

Chubbs is a very cobby little girl and there's no place for babies to "hide" like in some dogs! These photos show the progression of her pregnancy with five pups...

At six weeks:

and, at eight weeks (apparently I didn't get a side view, but she really didn't seem even as big as she was at 7 wks along--or at least about the same):

You can judge a lot by how she's acting--if she starts acting like she's having trouble breathing, etc. then you can check with your vet. And go with your GUT--YOU know your dog! I lost a female with 8 pups because I trusted two vets' opinions over my gut. She was so huge she couldn't lay down the last couple days & I KNEW we needed to get them out NOW...but she had several breed dates and the vets didn't want to take them too early sad.gif The pups were ALL fully mature and would have been fine. I know of someone who took pups at 56 days and they all did great (only one breeding with implants & progesterone testing so they were certain of ovulation timing). Hang in there!

She sure did...She is holding it funny in the pic

but it is perfectly straight and set on low, beautiful tail. Just a bit long if anything.

Amazing tail!

I don't think I have ever seen a tail in person like the one on the first bitch, only in old pictures. Does she reproduce that tail?

the top one with 8 on 52 days doesn't look to be carrying that m

I would prefer Cinny was carrying that way happy.gif)

Re: Here is a bitch carrying 11 pups at 56 days

wow

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.

Aww

My girl is a bit more lean and fine boned, so I wonder how she will show when she is bred this summer.. Your girl is so cute.

Oh my!

She got big didn't she? I need to start taking pix of my girls for reminders on future litters. I always stress when we have pups, but especially when my girls get real big. Cinny comes first so if she starts to stress we'll have the vet take them. I've had day 58 puppies-9 of them born to my Phiona last year, couple litters of day 59. I like them to bake as long as possible of course, but not at my girls expense. With Cinny only having one AI we can narrow it down pretty close. Thanks Cheryl!
