Newbie quesiton...what is a supported entry?

I want to enter an upcoming show and on Saturday it says that the Bulldog fanciers club is supporting entries of that breed? What does that mean exactly!

Supported entry usually just means the local bulldog club is providing trophies for the show and encouraging participation.
