I kinda used a little of every ones advice although I don't think the Judge was anywhere near as nervous as I was. Major was antsy after waiting through all the JR Handlers but he was still a good boy. He tried to grab a couple of skirts as they went by (Nice huh) and was VERY enamored with the young ladies in season.... Hope no one noticed THAT in the ring. (Any tips on how to handle that in the future??) We had a small 6-9 month class and he brought me the blue ribbon so what more could I ask. I got to meet Holly from our Board.... HI HOLLY, What a sweetie!!!! and I got to watch her husband show. I had so many nice bulldoggers come up and comment on Major and make us feel right at home. Thank you everyone who gave me words of encouragement! I'll be back in the ring (Still nervous I'm sure) but loving all the wonderful people and dogs.
Congratulations on getting your feet wet!!
It is hard to take a 6-9 month puppy into ring....way to go...you are now a handler!!!! Congrats again!

Way to Go!
Good to hear ya stayed in the ribbons and sounds like you had a good time! I put pure vanilla on a cotton ball and rub it on the boys noses before we get near the hot girlies. I've heard of people using mentolatum, but that used to make Winston very antsy. Any chance of showing in our B match in OKC? Keep up the good work!

I'm so excited for you and Major! Now you'll be a pro next time you take him into the ring. Havok, Phoenix and I will be back in the ring next weekend after a break the last few months. I need to remember to breathe all over again!

I almost didn't bring it home because
I was in such a hurry to get out of the ring.... Poor Judge probably thought I was a kook Thanks again Cati... you guys are such a great support group.
Congratulations!
for showing and wow...even bringing home the blue!! You go girl!!
Great Job!
Hey Connie,
Glad to see you took the plunge..Just be patient and keep going into the ring. It will be "old hat" in no time. To answer your prior question about my nerves. I don't think I get "nerveous" anymore but I still get a rush of adrenaline when I go into the ring. My hands shake and my heart pounds...... It is certain that I am a competition junky!!

Listen to the wonderful advice on this forum.
I thought of everyone and all the great advice before going in. Knowing that everyone here was waiting for my results made me all that more determined. I'm already looking for our next show.... Maybe you'll be there and I'll get to see your beautiful kids!! Good luck Suzie...
Re: Don, When is your match?? That would be fun for William
