A Friend Lost

Tonight I was told that a dog I had bred had passed on to "ride the comet". Ch. Rattlesdens Winchester, a little known champion of the home, the heart, and the show ring crossed over to the other side. I can tell you that he was a huge influence in a fammily home that loved him beyond any influence of a championship. He was unfazed by the title bestowed by the AKC. He was not swayed by any title that was bestowed on him, yet, he was beloved by his owners and his breeder. His family loved this boy beyond words and titles and they miss him dearly.

Ride the comet, Chester...with all your heart. You will be missed...

RIP Chester, Gail so sorry to hear

he has crossed over, many hugs to his family.

Re: A Friend Lost

Sorry for your loss, Gail. I think I remember a Bulldogger ad for him. Our time with our oldest one is coming to an end soon and I know it will be one of the saddest days in my life. Show dog or not, many are really big parts of our lives.

Re: A Friend Lost

You probably did see him in the Bulldogger, Jay. He was handled by Nancy Schultz and was owned by June Michael (her first show Bulldog).

Ol' Chester was 12 years old and he could not have had a better home than with the Michael family. They do have one of his daughters, so he will live on in her.

You're right, though...champion or not, these dogs tend to have a way of making themselves very important in our lives.

So Sorry...

for the your and his familys loss of Chester. Rest in Peace...

Very sorry

I'm so sorry for your loss.
