Foot Dog
Submitted by SummitBulldogs on April 20, 2010 - 11:34pmI have a 6 month old pup. She has a foot fetish. All she wants to do is go for your feet!! Let her out of her crate and first thing she does is go for your feet. Get her outside and bring her in and look out feet. I have done about everything except wire electricity into my shoe, sock, or slipper and give her a jolt. Antone had any luck stopping this??

Each time you go to remove the dog from the crate have a few small dog treats or cooked liver bits or something the dog is crazy for. Distract the dog with the food as she exits the crate. Make her give you eye contact before giving her the treat(s). Then praise and feed the bits. She is then being rewarded for appropriate behavior immediately. Do this every time and my hope is by the end of next week she will be coming out looking up at you rather than going to your feet. You can then begin to do this on an intermitant basis. Let me know how it goes.

She loves you from head to toe. LOL Sure going to be a problem in the ring though. If I remember right Cathy Eke had one like that a few years back.
Have you tried distracting her with a toy? or shaking a can with coins or pebbles at her when she goes at your feet? Maybe she likes to hear you scream. :<)
