Hi Cheryl,
I clicked on your video of pups on Pip, adorable. While I was at the You Tube site I saw a link to your Chubbs doing obedience. I have never seen such a happy-working Bulldog. You must be a really outstanding trainer. My one attempt, many years ago, at obedience training a bulldog was a miserable failure. She was definitely smarter than me.
Do you still have Chubbs? Was that an old video?
Cheryl - you forgot to say that YOU are the trainer...
I think that's one of the most amazing parts of your family/bully dynamic is that they are full members of your family and you are their personal trainer.
Good luck with the new pups, and I just love the pic's of your new 2 legged grand baby.
Best, Trish

link?
do you have the link to post? I'd love to watch!! Cheryl Owen's owners were talking very nicely about you!! Its so great you take time out to prove how great this breed is!!!
Here are the links to a few others...
Gabe's "Top Dog" video is the featured video on my channel (the beginning section has some great heelwork from when he was just over a year old--then some of his tricks)

...My other videos are off to the right side--including Chubbs' son, Bailey doing OB work (who looks a lot like his Momma working!), Rosie's TV appearances on the America's Funniest shows, & some beginning OB work with a pup from last year's litter.
BTW--were Owen's owners at the Lower Mainland show last fall? Sorry, I can't remember what their names are
Yes, Chubbs is 7.5 and still with us!
That video was done a couple years ago. Chubbs has her CD & CDX obedience titles as well as two of the three legs needed for her Utility Dog title--which would make her eligible for the BCA Companion HOF--and also has her RN, RA & RE titles in Rally. Unfortunately she is getting pretty arthritic in one hip due to a nasty fall she had a few years back, so I'm not sure if we'll pull that last UD leg off. I may show her in select shows where the flooring is good...and if we get that illusive UD you will CERTAINLY hear some whooping & hollering from ME! The "bulldog" in me HATES to call it quits when we're so close!
Yes bulldogs ARE smart! Chubbs isn't the only nice worker I've had--all of mine have been very competitive in all-breed showing (in fact, I'd say that Chubbs has had some of the lowest scores among my bullies--not to say they've been low--but not quite as sharp as my other dogs) You can also see videos of Gabe doing some beginning OB work in his "Top Dog" video, and Chubbs' son, Bailey--owned by Jane Pharr, in another video on my channel. I have some fun video of my UDX girl, Gracie, from the Portland Nationals Open & Utility classes (where she went Hight in Trial & High Combined, as well as earned her 4th UDX leg) that I need to upload to YouTube as well--she was Chubbs' Great Aunt and a very sharp working girl! And my very first bulldog, Rosie--also my first competitive OB dog--was an INCREDIBLE worker. We learned together and our first time out pulled off a 196.5 (out of a possible 200 points)--she, Gracie & Rosie's daughter, Bear, routinely pulled off scores in the mid-190's & were often in the placements at all-breed shows.
Thanks for the compliments--don't be afraid to get out there & try again (Rally is a great place to start)...it CAN be a lot of fun!
