Any tips to correct puppy down on pasterns

Here is my Pup @ 17 weeks old, I feed and water him in a raised dish but it does not seem to be doing the trick, he is currently on Iams Puppy Large breed but I am going to be switching to Taste of the wild wetlands formula.. Thanks in advance.. Frank

surfaces & walking

The floor surface he is on the most should be grippy (carpet - crete - soft rubber) not slippery. Take him for walks on in grass, small gravel, etc and make sure he walks up some hills. The hills will develope the pasterns and pop his chest.

good luck, the food is a good food

being a puppy it's also a good all stages food. If he gets diarrhea from teh vit C just cut back a little and it should go away.

If he is not on his toes then raise the dishes up a bit more. Just make sure they are not to high that he can not eat or drink.

Thanks everyone for the advice,Here's where I am at so far

as far as I know his parent have no issues I will ask the breeder if she experienced this at all with them as pups. Dad is Ch. and looks great in every pic I see of him. I raised my boys food and water dishes up a notch so he almost tippy toes to get in them, I also took him on a nice walk that involved a hill ( nothing crazy ). I am working on building a ramp to the grooming table I made, I plan to cover it with indoor / outdoor carpet for traction and comfort. Got the Vitamin C gave him 500mg with dinner and I also ordered Sure grow 100. I am also planning on getting him off the Iams Puppy large breed soon and wean him over to something else. My choise so far is Taste of the Wild Wetlands since I feed it to my Bullmastiffs and have great results.

I will keep you all updated....
thanks again,
frank

500 mg Vitamin C daily

will help raise the pasterns. I would only use it long enough to get the pasterns to rise(I would also do as the others say about walking on substances that cause the pup to exercise). High doses of vitamin C (especially in males) has been linked to bladder stones forming.
