So when several of us travel out of our district and up the numbers in another District we actually hurt the point system for the following year. Wow, what a double edge sword!

well, "hurt" is subjective. Very often the schedules do not change. The specialties and certainly a National will change things, but it usually levels off.

Sorry Guy's, You don't think the AKC would make it that easy for you, do you? They actually take into consideration the last THREE Years number of dogs in competition not just the last one year.
Probably a stupid question but.....
How do they decide these numbers? I see such big differences in some of the divisions and I would think it would be a National number.
Re: Probably a stupid question but.....
numbers are based on entries in that division the previous year.
Some areas are more populous than others, thus the differences in numbers.

I guess thats good and bad.

points count
National #'s are not taken into account.
Numbers
Maybe we should all take a year off.
Re: Numbers
you took the words right out of my mouth. stop showing for a year and stop breeding for a year as well.

Do the numbers include specialities?
I see where you said national numbers are not included...but do all specialty numbers get included?
