whipworms..what causes these things??

this is the first time that ONE of my dogs confirmed positive for the whipworm.
what causes them??
all the dogs need to be treated according to the vet. likely less expensive them taking in feccels for 5 dogs..so just going to go and treat them all...
but what causes them??
the dog that tested positive is not a bully..but bullies get treated too
the vet said one time now and in another month they all get treated again

Very common reaction--don't worry
The dewormer pill can cause stomach upset...which causes major drooling. Literally pools of drool on the floor.
It scared the heck out of me the first time I saw this! Now that I have had to worm a few rescue dogs, I expect it and know that it will go away in a day or two. She will be fine.

Bella has been major drooling since she got dewormed today..why?
