Hello!
I am still trying to figure out why my Gunther is constantly licking his paws. I wondered if it was just a habit, and then someone suggested a yeast allergy. What foods contain yeast?
He is currently eating raw beef without grains, but he does get some treats: fruits, dog cookies, etc...
Thanks for your help!

check under his pads and between,,,,,,
his toes...he may have hair growing their....wilson gets idc from ingrown hair between his pads...and its a pain in the butt.....
pets do not get yeast from ingesting yeast products...
I don't think it's yeast in the food
that causes the reaction, but the yeast IS the reaction.

when she first came home
you may need to change his protien source.. yeast is the result
of an allergy. There are also shampoos that will help with yeast.. my fave was Malaseb but last I knew you could no longer purchase it. This may sound crazy but try switching to raw pork.

dog cookies will have flour or wheat flour
most basic dog biscuits will have wheat in them, thus making them not truly grain free. i agree , sounds like he is allergic to something, but it could be anything... if its something that he is eating- see if he has ear infections or alot of wax too.. is his whole body itchy?
if its just his paws , maybe its just a mild case, or something that is surrounding him - detergents, floor cleaners?
i also hear that some dogs just lick their paws alot due to habit or it also soothes them...
good luck!
