Tumor in heart?

MY 9 year old bulldog was diagnosed with Congestive heart failure and Chronic lung disease. Well we had a echo cardiogram done today and it shows a tumor about 6cm in diameter in her heart. Has anyone had this problem? if so did anything work to shrink the tumor?

Thank you in advance,
Cassie

Tumor in Heart

Our 11 yr old bulldog was diagnosed with a tumor in his heart. He lived a pretty good life after the diagnosis for about 6 months but then failed quickly and we made the decision to put him to sleep. It was a very difficult decision, my thoughts are with you.

Serious, and sad news.

I don't believe that there is anything you can do beyond keeping your dog comfortable for the short remaining time together. Be sure to take photos and spoil her some, but expect that she will sleep most of the time...and that is a release from pain mechanism so let her have those naps too. Hugs!

Re: Tumor in heart?

I just lost my baby girl Lilly in February and she would have been 5 last month. We found out one week that she had a mass that had invaded the right side of her heart and the next week we lost her. The cardiologist told us there was nothing that could be done, we also didn't know if the mass started there or if she had cancer all over or what. So sorry to hear about your baby. It is tough to go through all of this. I just lost Lilly's daughter in June and she was only 3 and she had pulmonic stenosis(heart condition) and was in congestive heart failure since September so it has been a tough year so far for me.

So sorry to hear about this. I'm not familiar with this condition but I'll keep you all in my prayers.
