Greetings-
I recently picked up films from the vet of Toto's hips. Wondered if anyone could have a look and tell me if they have any thoughts about his state.
Toto is a 7 month old bulldog that we took in as a foster 3 weeks ago. We don't know a lot about his previous situation except that he was shipped from the breeder to New England in early-July. The findings of from the vet state the following:
"Both coxofemoral joints are dyslplastic, subluxated, have flattended femoral heads and other secondary changes." It also notes that "both stifles have anterior drawer - which may suggest cruciate injury but can be a result of immaturity and inactivity."
He was on metacam for three weeks and did very well - was stiff when he'd get up but was also able to run, jump and play in the park. He was changed over to Dermaxx and is not reacting well to that - vomiting and diarrhea.
Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

the last x ray....
shows the hips out of the socket and severe dyplasia....those balls should fit snughly into the socket or as close to the socket as possible....with a dog this young i would cut the pectoral muscle which on the inside of the leg this will let the ball go into the socket...i have see great results with rotties doing this procudure....good luck....
