scratching help

Our female bulldog is 2 years old. we live in Adminzona and our dog scratches and has a red inflamed color between her toes on the front paws. She also licks those front paws often. She scratches until she bleeds and we have tried the calmcoat products to try and help. The vet claims it is allergies but we don't think that is it. we have her on the eagle pack products for her food and need to know if any other bulldog owners have any suggestions

Thanks

Steve

stillscratching/itching

I had asked for help with my 2 year old female that scratches mainly under her front arms and her chest, licking her paws in front and back. We have her on TOW salmon and she has been on it for the past week. No real changes. I believe the food is not the total issue. In addition she is being sprayed with the calmcoat natural spray for the itching. Any other suggestions

Oh, it's on the west side of the raod, if that helps!

I haven't lived in Phoenix for almost 5 years, but that feed store has been there for a lot of years, so I imagine it still is:-O

There is a feed store over on 32nd street also,

It is up near Cactus or Greenway I think, maybe even closer to Bell road. I don't know the name of it, but there is a big horse statue out front, kind of hard to miss it:-)

There are two places up here that have it...

Pinnacle Horse and Pet feed store at Pinnacle Peak and Scottsdale Road (in the safeway center behind the gas station) and Bonnie's Barkery at Cave Creek Road and Desert Willow. Probably the Pet Depot would have it, Cave Creek Rd and Grovers but I would call them first. If that's not near you, google Taste of the Wild and they should have store locations.

Re: We live in Arizona too...

thank you for your info. Where do you buy the dog food?

We live in Arizona too...

north phoenix/cave creek area. You need to first feed a grain free food, I don't know what is in Eagle Pack, but if it has rice, barley or oatmeal, you should think about changing it. I use Taste of the Wild pacific stream which is salmon and sweet potato. Also, one of our guys was allergic to bermuda grass which used to make his feed red and sore, could also be carpet cleaner, detergent, etc.

Re: scratching help

If you have carpet it could be carpet cleaning solution used to clean carpets or Glade carpet fresh that you sprinkle down and vacuum up, As it gave one of our Bulldogs a reaction before.

What type of protein source in the food are you using??

Have you tried Fish & Sweet Potatoe dog food???
