RE: Dixie

Ok, I think I made a mistake with Dixie. I am slowly switching her over to Royal Canin bulldog formula from Taste of The Wild salmon formula. The poor thing hasn't had a bowel movement since last night. Should I be concerned? Any NJ breeders or owners I can call or e-mail privately?

Panicking at this point

Re: Has she been getting enough exercise?

Dixie decided to use my living room floor as her bathroom. The kids got her running around with her soccer ball and that must have stimulated her just enough. I'm so relieved, but not happy about the mess. I noticed it wasn't as smelly either happy.gif

She's my first bully, I've always had pyrs. Love her to pieces!

Has she been getting enough exercise?

And water? Usually, you get diarrhea from food changes, not impaction.
I would make sure she's had some good vigorous exercise (that always gets Q poopin'!). Hydration is also key. Canned pumpkin will give her fiber for good poops. You can also try stimulating the rectum. Wet a PAPER match and insert it in her rectum. That can often stimulate a bowel movement.
Try the exercise first. Good luck!
