Question about Patterson

Hello, I just found this site and read a lot of posts and see great advise. I am wondering if I may ask a question and see if anyone has experienced this before with their dog. I have a 1 year old bulldog (Patterson). He has not had any issues to date but for the last month he has been walking really weird. It's almost like his legs are asleep. He holds them stiff and then after a short period he is fine. Sometimes its just an uncontrolable twitch. It last only a short period of time but happens randonly through out the day.
When it happens he usually walks to where he wants and sits down or ifs its really bad he just stops and sits where he is. It's weird. One minute we are walking down the street fine and then his legs go stiff or twitch and we have to stop. It started as just one leg but now its in both. I took him to the vet and we are not sure what this is and are trying to find the cause.
I am hoping he is not in pain as he makes no indication that he is. If anyone can please help maybe point us in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks
Ann

Not sure but

Mason has simular stuff and the vet found he has weak knees. Have you checked for that? Did he jump on a couch or down the stairs around the time he started doing that?

I would guess he has luxating patellas.

This is something diagnosed mostly by experience because the kneecap slips in/out of position, which is obviously painful for the dog, and the 'out' may not always happen when the dog is at the vets...altho I would think that if the doc has you take dog out to the parking lot and walk him around for several minutes, he might see some of this. You might want to ask specifically if he's checked/considered this possibility.

I would

document each time this happens (ie time or day, after eating, sleeping, playing etc.) and take a video of it. Would be very helpful for your vet to actually see what is happening.
