I am wondering if anyone has had their bulldog grinding their teeth before. Princess just started this a week or so ago. It is not constant. She is 5 weeks pregnant now and if I have her lay down and I rub her sides she seems to stop. Does anyone know why that happens, or what else I can do for her. I feel bad for her. Thanks.
Thanks Elaine
Thanks for checking. I am not sure what it was. I only have a male. I did check her gums and teeth and they are fine. It seemed to help when I would have her lay down and I would just rub her whole body.
She had her puppies on 9/8. She had them 9 hours before her scheduled C-section. All is well. We have 8 beautiful babies! Thanks again for checking.

I tried to do a search on "pregnant dog grinding teeth"
with little useful response other than to say its "stress".
Do you have any other dogs in your household, particularly any other females that she comes in contact with often? Pregnant bitches who are too nervous are apt to reabsorb their pregnancy. Help her to sleep in a kennel or under a coffee table or somewhere that she can feel 'her back is protected' and relax a bit more. Other than checking in her mouth to be sure there's nothing stuck between her teeth or around her upper gumline, such as hairs hiding under the upper lip, I can't think of anything else.
